Unlike the bland, forgettable sludge of ‘comedy’ movies where you are left to forage for what could remotely pass for humor, if you’re prepared to put the propaganda aside, you are in for one hell of a hilarious movie experience. But damn my cynical eye! It’s inclined to look for things to pillory when my goodness radar finds itself reading a fair 8/10 for a movie. I tend to look for how I might have liked it even better had it been slightly different in some aspects; if the woman-lead were not an absolute avtar to project the gripes and hang-ups of the housewives on to, if only her personality were a little bit more layered and the motif a bit less black and white. (To sum up, had the agitprops been a wee bit more subtle at a time were writers and directors are stumbling over themselves to bludgeon audience’s heads with social justice issues I’m sick and tired of hearing.)
